The You Can Ride Zoo! wrap up party is a private function for YCR2 families and supporters to celebrate inclusive cycling. YCR2 Adaptive Bikes are the only bikes allowed at the Edmonton Valley Zoo during Zoo Night. Explore the Zoo with or without bikes.

Shopper

Do you enjoy shopping and organizing your purchases? Can you envision what kids aged 5 to 17 and living with a disability might enjoy winning while staying on budget and shopping at specific stores? You will get to visit select stores and shop for prizes that our kiddos have a chance to win while playing games at our annual You Can Ride Zoo event. You will check in with the YCR2 Program Coordinator regularly so that questions may be answered and support can be provided. Once the shopping is done, the items and receipts will be brought to the YCR2 facility at the Goodwill Impact Center. You will then organize, sort, and bundle them ready to be distributed to the game tables at the fall event. This task must be fully completed no later than August 20, 2023.

Game Table Hosts

Do you enjoy the excitement of helping kids living with a disability play games? You get to transport your game and supplies from the zoo entrance to a specified location in the zoo. Then you will set up and host a game that kids will enjoy playing for a chance to win a prize. All supplies and instructions provided. At the end of the event you will take down, pack up and transport the supplies to the entrance of the zoo. 2 positions per table; 6 positions total. Shift schedule: September 9, 2023 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Location: Edmonton Zoo

Photo Booth Attendant and Photographer

YCR2 will have a photo booth and zoo themed backdrop available for guests, families and kids to snap a photo in the lovely surroundings of the zoo. You will transport the backdrop and supplies from the zoo entrance to a specified location in the zoo. Then you will set up and support guests taking their picture in front of the YCR2 backdrop. You will also take photos, with consent, and email them to YCR2.

Guests must register on their arrival at the You Can Ride Zoo event. You will ensure guests are provided event information and answer their questions. You will also help set up, take down and pack up supplies at the end of the event.
